The HKS Racing Suction Kit with AFR is a high-performance open air intake system developed for the Honda Civic Type R FK8 (2017+). Replacing the factory intake system with high-flow aluminium intake pipes and an HKS intake, it provides improved airflow and reduced intake restriction. The result is quicker throttle response, improved engine performance, enhanced power delivery, and a more responsive driving experience.

The rigid aluminium intake pipes replace the factory flexible intake hose, optimising airflow to the engine for improved intake efficiency. A vehicle-specific heat shield helps deflect hot air from the engine bay, promoting more consistent intake temperatures. The open-element design produces a sporty induction sound, while the improved airflow may contribute to quicker boost response depending on the engine setup. The included AFR (Air/Fuel Ratio Regulator) corrects air/fuel sensor readings and helps prevent the Check Engine Light (CEL) from illuminating, allowing the system to be used without ECU recalibration under normal conditions. According to HKS, versions supplied without the AFR module require ECU recalibration.
