Snap Off

Discover our range of snap-off and quick release systems from well-known manufacturers such as NRG, Sparco, and QSP. These products allow you to easily detach your sports steering wheel from the hub. In the motorsport world, this makes it convenient to get in and out of the car when space is tight due to the roll cage. But in street cars, it’s definitely a styling product. The fun thing about quick releases is that beyond their function, they come in many different styles in terms of both design and color.

In this category, you can also buy steering wheel hub spacers that not only create distance but also provide more bolt patterns if you want to mix and match hubs. You’ll also find steering shaft extensions and weld sleeves for universal joints here.

What is a snap-off quick release?

This is a quick-release mechanism that mounts between your steering hub and the wheel. This allows the steering wheel to be removable. There are different locking mechanisms, but the most common one uses a ring that you pull toward yourself to release the wheel. These are available with an extra safety button as well as a one-hand grip version for motorsport use, where extra speed is essential.

How do you install a quick release?

A snap-off hub is divided into two parts - a male and a female. The male part mounts on the hub, and the female part on the sports steering wheel. When buying a hub and quick release, make sure the bolt patterns are compatible with each other. Most hubs have dual bolt patterns, while snap-offs usually have only one pattern.
