The AIRTEC Motorsport Gear Shift Assembly ATMSYGR42 for the Toyota GR Yaris Gen 2 is a complete shifter assembly engineered to provide significantly shorter, more positive and precise gear changes. It also fits models equipped with the Vertical Handbrake / Aero Performance Package and is compatible with both left- and right-hand drive vehicles.
A 40% reduction in gear lever throw significantly reduces the distance between shifts, while the design eliminates unwanted slack from the gear lever. A heavy-duty spring-loaded mechanism provides positive self-centring, while lever travel can be finely adjusted to minimise unnecessary movement. The raised lever position provides a more natural shifting action, while reverse can only be selected by lifting the safety collar. Selected gears can also be locked out for competition use.
The base and tower are manufactured from 3mm laser-cut 304-grade stainless steel with a black powder-coated finish. The upper mechanism and gear lever are CNC-machined from high-tensile 7075-grade aluminium. Installation uses the factory gear cables and linkages with no modifications required to the clutch or gearbox, making the conversion fully reversible.
A model-specific shifter surround is included to cover the lower mechanism for a clean OEM+ appearance. It has been developed using 3D scanning and CAD before being manufactured using Fused Deposition Modelling (FDM).
