HKS 264° Intake Camshaft Step 2 - Nissan SR20DET S14/S15
The HKS 264° Intake Camshaft Step 2 is designed for the Nissan Silvia S14 and S15 equipped with the SR20DET engine. Developed for high-performance engine builds, it is optimized to maximize horsepower at higher RPM while maintaining a broad and effective powerband. Featuring a 264° duration and 12.0 mm valve lift, this camshaft improves airflow and cylinder filling, delivering increased top-end power with significant performance gains from approximately 6,000–6,500 RPM and above.
Each HKS camshaft is CAD-designed to optimize torque and horsepower across the widest possible RPM range. The Step 2 profile is specifically engineered for engines equipped with larger turbochargers, where it provides improved high-RPM performance compared to the Step 1 camshaft. For engines using turbochargers smaller than the HKS GT3037S, HKS recommends the Step 1 profile for the best overall performance across the entire RPM range.
Unlike reground factory camshafts, HKS camshafts are precision-machined from brand-new billet cores manufactured from a high-nickel iron alloy. This construction provides exceptional strength, precision, and durability, meeting or exceeding the quality of the original equipment components they replace. The camshaft is a direct replacement for the factory intake camshaft and is compatible with the OEM valvetrain.
To ensure reliable operation, upgraded valve springs or the HKS Head System Step 2 are required. This camshaft is intended for engine builds producing more than 450 PS and is recommended for applications with an engine speed of up to 8,000 RPM.
