Adjusting the height on your coilovers is a relatively simple process with the right tools. To adjust the height, you’ll need a hook spanner or a C-spanner compatible with your coilovers. There are two ways to adjust the height depending on whether your coilovers have adjustable lower mounts or not.

Why are hook spanners and C-spanners important for coilover adjustment?

Hook spanners and C-spanners are essential tools for coilover adjustment because the locking rings often have a unique shape. It’s rarely possible to get a proper and secure grip using, for example, a pipe wrench. Using the wrong tool increases the risk of damaging the threads on the shock body. Another important tip is to always clean and brush the threads on the damper before you start adjusting - this helps prevent rings from seizing or sticking.
