• Brake fluid, when and why?

The acoustic wear indicator is a metal plate that rests against the disc when the pad starts to wear out. This way you can hear if the pads are starting to wear out. Otherwise, a visual check is always the best. One recommendation is to look at the pads every time you wash the rims. Then you are there anyway! When the discs start to go bad, you often get a vibration. To easily rule out whether it is front or rear, you can go out and brake. If you feel the vibrations in the steering wheel, it is front, but if there is a vibration that is felt in the seat/butt, it is rear.

  Squealing and noise from the brakes are usually associated with the pads starting to wear out. However, it is a good way to know that the pads need to be replaced.
