MagnaFlow Direct-Fit Catalytic Converters are engineered to match original equipment specifications precisely and are designed for easy bolt-on installation by professional installers. Depending on the application, both ceramic and metallic substrates are used with varying cell densities and wall thicknesses to meet specific vehicle requirements. While most Direct-Fit applications require no welding, cutting, or bending, select installations may require additional welding to achieve optimal fitment.
All Federal catalytic converters meet EPA requirements. However, Federal converters are not legal for sale, installation, or use on vehicles registered in the state of California.
California State catalytic converters are CARB compliant and are based on Executive Orders issued by the California Air Resources Board. These converters must be installed in accordance with CARB regulations. In California, it is illegal to select a catalytic converter based solely on vehicle weight and engine size.
