HKS Metal Catalyzer - Nissan 350Z (VQ35HR) / 370Z (VQ37HR)
The HKS Metal Catalyzer is designed for the Nissan 350Z (VQ35HR) and Nissan 370Z (VQ37HR), delivering improved exhaust flow, reduced back pressure, and a more responsive engine. This high-flow metal catalytic converter is engineered to work seamlessly with HKS exhaust systems, providing the performance, exhaust note, and quality that HKS is renowned for.
The catalytic converter features a 150-cell metal catalyst with significantly lower exhaust restriction than the factory system. While the original setup uses two catalytic converters per cylinder bank, the HKS design replaces them with a single high-flow catalyst per bank, improving exhaust flow and reducing back pressure. When installed together with the HKS Full Dual Muffler and the factory intake system, HKS has recorded an increase of approximately 6 PS on a standard engine, along with noticeably quicker throttle response.
The vehicle-specific design ensures direct bolt-on installation with OEM-style fitment. The catalytic converter is engineered to comply with Japanese emissions regulations and includes an official 10–15 Mode emissions test certificate. Please note that the improved exhaust flow may increase exhaust volume depending on the exhaust system installed.
