aFe POWER Twisted Steel Headers are high-performance exhaust manifolds designed to improve exhaust flow, reduce restriction and increase engine performance on compatible Jeep applications. Compared with the factory exhaust manifolds, aFe reports gains of up to 6 hp and 6 lb-ft of torque, along with improved throttle response.
The headers are constructed from 1.5" diameter, 14-gauge 409 stainless steel tubing with heavy-duty 3/8" thick mounting flanges. Smooth tubing bends and increased diameter help reduce exhaust restrictions, while specially designed true mitered collectors minimise turbulence and improve exhaust pulse control for better flow and performance.
To protect the spark plug wires from exhaust heat, the kit includes 6 heat-treated fiberglass protective boots, rated to withstand temperatures up to 1600°F.
Designed for direct bolt-on installation, the headers retain the factory catalytic converters and use the original mounting locations. No cutting or drilling is required, and all necessary installation components are included. Engineered and manufactured by aFe POWER in Corona, California.
