The GFB DV+ T9388 is an upgraded electronic diverter valve designed for modern Mercedes-Benz and Mercedes-AMG turbocharged engines. Unlike earlier DV+ versions, the T9388 is a complete replacement valve featuring an integrated low-profile solenoid, replacing compatible factory AMG and Pierburg diverter valves.
Engineered to deliver improved boost holding, sharper throttle response and faster boost recovery after gear changes or brief throttle lifts, the DV+ addresses the limitations of factory plastic valve designs. During testing on a Mercedes-AMG C63 S, GFB measured an OEM diverter valve leak of 28 litres per minute at 1 bar of boost.
To overcome this issue, the T9388 features a precision-machined piston seat integrated into the valve body, combined with a Viton-sealed piston. This provides a more effective seal, even where the original plastic seating surface is uneven.
GFB's Pilot Actuation technology allows the valve to open and close progressively rather than operating in a simple open-or-closed manner. This helps smooth power delivery during throttle modulation and improves response. The complete assembly installs as a direct replacement without reusing components from the factory valve.
