Designed around a straightforward single-chamber layout, this expansion tank provides reliable coolant management for a wide range of applications. Incoming coolant enters through the side-mounted AN-8 ORB inlet, creating a controlled swirling motion that supports consistent circulation and natural air separation within the tank.

The coolant tank uses a 32mm radiator neck, designed to use standard "mini" Type-A radiator caps. Upgrading to the Nuke Performance expansion tank allows the use of higher-rated Type-A caps (available here), increasing system pressure and operating temperatures for high-performance and motorsport applications.

The stated pressure rating represents the nominal release pressure and operates within a defined tolerance range. The illustration above shows the intended operating range for each Nuke Performance radiator cap.

Cooling system pressure directly affects the coolant boiling point. Always select the lowest pressure cap that provides sufficient boiling margin for your application, as higher pressure increases thermal stability but also places greater stress on system components.
