  • Girodisc 2-piece Brake Disc

The main reason for choosing Girodisc's 2-piece brake discs is to lower the unsprung and total weight of your car. The secondary reason is to get a disc with better cooling and ventilation while maintaining the original size. This has been achieved by making a 2-piece disc where the center is made of T6061-T6 Aluminum and the friction surface is made of cast steel.

The friction surface, which is made of cast steel, has the same specifications as used in racing. The curved cooling channels in the discs have been developed in racing and act as a centrifugal pump for the air passing through it. The discs are also floating, which is achieved by mounting them on bolts that are cadmium-treated to resist rust. These bolts are secured with Grade 12 bolts and hardened washers. To prevent the discs from making any noise when they are cold, there are spring washers on the friction surface side.

In some cases, the Girodisc disc is larger in diameter than the original. This includes everything you need to install it, which in most cases are spacers for the brake calipers and even longer bolts!

    Fits the following models:

    Girodisc Racing Brakes & Technology

Girodisc is an American manufacturer of brake discs in the premium segment. Here, they have developed unique solutions for sports cars and performance cars such as 2-piece brake discs, conversion discs from ceramic to cast steel, to larger diameters with caliper spacers. Brake discs have long been known as a weak link in the braking system, especially in racing. Original discs are often heavy and accumulate heat.

Girodisc has solved this problem by releasing a range of 2-piece brake discs that are lightweight, cool effectively, have a floating design that provides better feel and control and work on your original system, even if you do not have original 2-piece discs. This is a very popular brand around the world with Porsche, BMW M, Audi, VW and others.
