SSR
In 1971 SSR released its first 3-piece split wheel, the MK1, it was the start of the company's well-deserved history. The demand for aluminum wheels was very high in 1973, therefore the JWL (Japan Light Alloy Wheel) certification was created. The government of Japan created this certification on aluminum wheels to ensure quality and safety. The JWL tests put great tests both on how the wheel takes impacts and how it withstands stress over a longer period of time. SSR's wheels always go through these tests before they are used for street or track driving! In 1981, VIA (Vehicle Inspection Association) was started to control the JWL tests. All SSR wheels have both of these logos embossed to emphasize the quality of the wheels.
SSR has always focused on delivering light and strong wheels and this tradition will never be broken. SSR wheels are quality!
